times. You can find this by clicking one of the tabs above. We encourage you to call if you don't find what you need. You

types of ministries we enjoy at FPC. We're looking forward to meeting

Newcomer Q&A
How do I get there?
Click here to view the web page with driving directions and a map.
What time does the church meet?
We meet on Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM at 7001 South Arlington Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46237. That's on the corner of Southport Road and Arlington Avenue, one mile east of I-65. We share a building with another great church in Franklin Township, New Hope Community Church.
We also meet throughout the week for small group gatherings called Microchurches, as well as other groups, like the Alpha Course, EDGE Youth, Women In Touch, prayer groups and other meetings.
Is there plenty of parking?
Yes! Access to the building is easy and there are spaces marked for handicap access.
What should I wear?
Honestly, people wear a wide variety of clothing in our church. Everything from blue jeans to business casual. In other words, don't go out and buy a new suit or dress to come to church.
What about my kids?
We have dynamic ministries for kids in our First Avenue and KidzTown ministry areas: First Avenue (Newborn-3 Years) and KidzTown (4-11). Each has their own service tailored to their needs.
On the first Sunday of each month, KidzTown (4-11) will register and then join their parents in the main sanctuary for worship until Fellowship Time (about half-way through the service). This gives kids an opportunity to experience worship with their parents and the larger body of believers. The other weeks, kids have their own dynamic kids worship and a full program beginning at 9:00 AM.
Your child's
safety is a very high priority for us at Franklin Park! Children who
are in the First Avenue and KidzTown areas are
checked in at their rooms. Please allow about five to ten minutes for this process prior to the service on the first time you visit. You'll be asked to fill out some registration cards with information about your child's specific needs.
What is your worship service like? What do you do during your gatherings?
A typical service involves prayer, worship and singing, a time of fellowship, worship in giving, announcements, a biblical teaching from the pastor and a response to the teaching. We also have prayer partners who are available to pray with those who want to have special prayer.
Our worship music is contemporary, upbeat, thoughtful and God-centered. When we come to worship, we come to bless and serve others with God's help and power, even though we expect that God will work powerfully in our own lives.
As we worship and pray, members are free to express their hearts to God in appropriate and demonstrative ways. Many will clap their hands to the music, raise their hands in prayer, vocalize their words of worship and so on. We come expecting to encounter an awesome and powerful God, to experience His presence and the work of God's Holy Spirit. We have all types of personalities and worship styles, so you'll fit right in.
